Story of Two Families...
These 2 angels came down from heaven to see life on Earth. First, they went to a rich family's house. The house was very big and beautiful. When they entered the house, the rich family actually wanted to shoo them away. The mother of the family said, "What are u doing here ruining our lives? Go away!"
The rich family then locked the angels up in the basement. The room was totally different from the rich family's house. It looks old and it was very dirty, and there were also holes in the basement. The older angel saw a big hole in the basement and covered the hole up. The younger angel did not know why the older angel did that for, but he did not say anything.
The next day, they were released, and they decided to go to a poor farmer's house. The poor farmer and his wife welcomed the angels, and treated them to a big feast. They even let them stay in their room for the night.
Halfway during the night, the two angels overheard the farmer and his wife talking.
the wife said, "What should we do now? There is only one cow left in the farm, after the other was killed and it was given to the angels as their feast."
The next day, the cow died suddenly. The farmer and his wife cried.
The younger angel couldn't stand it anymore, and asked the older angel, "Why did u help the rich family by covering up the hole in the basement, and did not help the poor family by letting their cow die?"
The older angel then replied, "I covered the hole becuz i saw many gold bars in the hole, and i did not want them to let them see it. Last night death wanted to take away the farmer's wife's life. I pleaded to let the wife go and he took the cow's life instead."
